A Sawmill? That’s right. We own a small sawmill that we use to mill our trees. This process allows for us to selectively fell trees from our farm for milling. Keeping with the theme of handmade, even our sawmill was hand built by a craftsman in Iowa. We were able to meet the family that created our mill and enjoyed the personal connection we made from this purchase.
Because we fell and mill our own trees, we are able to customize the slabs we cut to meet the needs of specific projects and customer requests. It’s a rare thing to know where the tree came from, who milled the lumber, and then shake hands with the craftsman that created your table. This process promotes healthy forestry and improves the overall health of the land and trees. It’s low impact and contributes to a balanced ecosystem.

Lumber sales. On occasion we have a limited selection of cut lumber available for purchase. Pick out beautiful slabs to take home to your wood shop. Email us with your request or to inquire about our current inventory. We also offer custom sawing service if you would like to provide your own tree.
